STORAE is an independent curatorial project based in Paris, France.

STORAE is dedicated to the research and presentation of Scandinavian mid-century glass objects from the 1950s to the 1980s, with a particular focus on sculptural forms, material presence and industrial production. Many of the objects originate from manufacturers that have since closed, or belong to discontinued series that are no longer in production.

Within each showroom, the objects are presented with selected contextual information.

Intended to offer an initial point of access to their design, production and historical background. Upon purchase, each object is accompanied by a Reflection Paper providing a more extensive account of its designer, manufacturer, period of production and broader historical, cultural or material context, where this information can be reliably established.

Every object presented by STORAE is individually inspected and selected for its condition. We only offer pieces that meet our standards of structural integrity and visual quality. Objects with chips, cracks, significant losses or other material damage are excluded from sale, even when such flaws are only detectable through close inspection or touch. Minor traces consistent with age and production may occur and, where relevant, are described transparently.

STORAE ships internationally via UPS. Each object is carefully packed to protect its material and form and is shipped with insurance and tracking. For purchases made during a physical showroom, local courier delivery may be arranged upon request, generally on the following day.

STORAE presents these objects through temporary physical showrooms and pop-up exhibitions.

These time-limited settings are intended to foreground the visual, spatial and tactile qualities of the objects and to create a direct encounter beyond their digital representation.

Unless otherwise credited, all photographs, videos, collages, texts, graphic treatments and other original visual material published on this website and through STORAE’s official social media channels, including Instagram, were created by or for STORAE. The objects depicted are vintage works and remain attributed to their respective designers and manufacturers.
